What file types does METAGEO support?

METAGEO current supports the following georeferenced file types and formats:


  • Georeferenced Images (.jpg orthomosaics not supported at this time) – .jpg, .png
    • Non-georeferened images can be attached to vectors, and other types of layers by clicking on them on the map, and attaching media.
    • 360 Images .jpg - max resolution 16384 x 8192


  • Vector points, paths, and polygons – .kml, .zip (zipped .shp with all associated files .shx, etc)


  • Rasters (orthophotos/ orthomosaics) – .tif


  • Point Clouds (waveform data format 4,5,9, and 10 are not supported) – .las, .laz


  • 3D Models
    • 3D Tiles Agisoft, Context Capture, DJI Terra, Pix4D Matic, Reality Capture, Skyline and more – .zip (zipped .json with all associated folders and .b3dms)



  • Embedded links for videos, NeRFs, Matter Port tours, or any other software with a share link.
